Welcome to my blog, Flying on Jess Fuel. If you don’t already know me, my name is Jess, and I love all things food. And I’m not alone. My husband Nick shares my passion for delicious food, good red wines, and cold, frosty homebrews.
Though I hail from New England and Nick is a West coaster, we met in Daytona Beach, Florida while Nick was attending school there and I was… well, escaping the cold and snow of my native land. We met through a friend, at a Mexican restaurant where I impressed Nick with my jalapeno-eating skills. How could he resist?
Since then we’ve been on a crazy, never-ending adventure throughout the country. We moved from Daytona to Pensacola, FL, so Nick could attend flight school for the US Navy. After a few months there, we relocated to Enid, Oklahoma to an Air Force base where Nick continued training. After that, we moved back to the South, to Mississippi. Most recently, in February 2013, we moved across the country to California, where we will hopefully be for a bit longer!
I thought this blog would be a great way to keep in touch with all our family and friends who live all over the country, while sharing all of our mouthwatering recipes with the world. I hope you enjoy it and come back soon!
