So, I seriously dropped the ball on blogging during my vacation. I had all kinds of ideas planned, and started off strong with my Easter treats. But then things got busy and crazy, and well, sometimes you just need to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends! And that we did.
Lucky for you all, we’re back home and I’m itching to cook! Lots to come this week! In the meantime, some highlights from our trip, which included Massachusetts and California… coast to coast in 10 days!
Pretty much as soon as we landed in Boston, I made a bee line for my long lost happiness in a cup. Oh, Dunks, how I’ve missed you. Get your act together, Oklahoma, you don’t need 12 fast food taco joints in one town and not a single good cup of iced coffee!
In Mass, we had a fun Easter with my family! We also found a venue for our wedding!! Highfield Hall in Falmouth, is a beautiful old mansion that was recently restored. It has tons of character and charm and we’re super excited to start planning everything!
Speaking of the wedding, we also had the chance to take some engagement photos while we were up North. We’re still picking out the ones we like and doing a little Photoshop magic, but here’s a sneak peek!
We flew straight to California from Boston, and were welcomed our first night with an amazing Alaskan king crab leg dinner!
We also enjoyed huge artichokes fresh from the garden. California produce can’t really be beat.
And we had some fresh chicken.
Just kidding! But they WILL be laying eggs by the time we make it back to California again, so I’m looking forward to that. 🙂
While in California, we attended Nick’s sister Meghan‘s college graduation and spent a lovely weekend on the beach in Santa Monica. I couldn’t leave out Meghan’s fab graduation/birthday cake. It tasted as good as it looks.
Thanks to everyone we got to see over the past 10 days! We had tons of fun, but now it’s time to get back to business! Stay tuned for something delicious tomorrow!
